Job Summary:
We have a great opportunity for a Qualified social worker to join a children & Families team in Essex
Responsibilities:
To be professionally responsible for providing initial assessment and investigations under Section 47 of the Children Act 1989.
To undertake a caseload consisting of initial assessments and investigations, as required by the Team manager, in relation to both new and open cases
To undertake any actions identified as necessary by assessments and/or investigations including participation in CP conferences, co-working and Court proceedings, as determined by the best interests of the child
To commitment to the Department’s Policy on shared records and clients records
To commit to anti-oppressive behaviour practice and management
To commit to working on partnership with carers, children and their families
To work in an open manner as part of a team with a commitment to sharing and working alongside staff in own and other organisations
To commit to the child’s rights to have their wishes, feelings and views taken onto account and the right to participate in the social work process
• Pay rate is between £20– £25 per hour
GSCC Registration is essential.
