Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a Qualified Social worker to join an Adults Team in South East London
Responsibilities:
To regularly attend case conferences and strategy meetings in order to provide advice, information and guidance to staff from all agencies in the operation of the procedures and to monitor the quality of risk assessment by operational staff involved in safeguarding work.
To chair safeguarding case conferences, and other associated meetings, including multi-disciplinary meetings where there is an identified need for specialist advice.
To support the writing, implementation, and review of protocols and practice guidelines in collaboration with staff, managers, and professional leads in health and social care and representatives of other agencies, with the aim of ensuring appropriate and consistent practice in identification of actual or potential abuse and safeguarding of adults.
To support working groups or sub groups of the Safeguarding Adults Board as required, ensuring terms of reference are clear, membership is appropriate and people are engaged, tasks and projects are managed well and delivered to appropriate timescales, reporting any barriers or risks to the appropriate managers or the Board.
To ensure that safeguarding adult’s practice conforms to other relevant policies and procedures and legislation, including those relating to care management guidelines, data protection and information sharing protocols, mental capacity and consent, and equality and diversity.
To provide expert professional support and advice to the Safeguarding Adults Partnership Board, which shall include supporting the implementation and review of the policies and procedures, to review and plan safeguarding adults training to social work teams, and review performance and outcomes of related activities?
To support the Safeguarding Adults Team Manager to ensure there is appropriate membership, representation, and commitment from the respective agencies to the Board, and that the work of the Board is communicated effectively to the Partnership Boards for all adult care groups.
• Pay rate is between £20– £25 per hour
GSCC Registration is essential.
